ISLAMABAD: The Interior Ministry finalized the draft for establishment of the National Counter Terrorism Authority (NCTA), the first civilian institution to handle the threats of terrorism in the country.

The Interior Ministry sources told DawnNews that this proposed law will be given final touches in the Federal Law Ministry and then it will be promulgated through an ordinance.

After the promulgation of this Ordinance, the NCTA which is currently working under Tariq Pervez, a retired police officer and a known expert of terrorism, will be given a proper legal cover. –DawnNews.
