LAHORE: Bank of Punjab’s (BoP) former President and prime accused of the BoP fraud case Hamesh Khan has been handed over to NAB officials by the accountability court for a further 14-days-long physical remand.

The court ordered to present the accused on June 23.

Hamesh Khan was presented before the court under strict security arrangements. NAB officials despite Khan’s 26-days-long physical remand failed to present concrete evidence against the accused. Therefore, the court ordered a further 14-days-long physical remand for Hamesh Khan.

Hamesh Khan’s lawyer Barrister Mahmood Ali Sheikh expressed that the Supreme Court had allowed Hamesh’s lawyer to meet him. Initially during the meeting, NAB officials used to sit with him, however, now they ask for the photocopy of the lawyer’s notes which is a violation of court orders.

Barrister Mahmood requested the court to stop NAB officials from doing so.

Hamesh Khan’s lawyer accused that NAB officials were unable to get any evidence and now they are trying to gather evidence from the photocopy of Khan’s notes.
