India held by South Africa for 3-3 draw

NEW DELHI: India and South Africa ended their last Group B Hockey World Cup match in a draw at the Dhayan Chand stadium on Monday.
The match ended 3-3 and both teams finished on four points in the pool, but India finished in fourth spot ahead of its opponent thanks to a better goal difference.
India's goals came through Sarwanjit Singh, Diwakar Ram and Shivendra Singh, while South Africa's scorers were Lloyd Norris-Jones, Justin Reid-Ross and Austin Smith.
Australia and England qualified for the finals from the group while India will play the number four team from Group A for the eighth position match in the tournament. - AP
