KHOST: A car bomb attack targeting an Afghan security post killed five people Wednesday in the eastern province of Paktika, provincial police chief Dawlat Khan Zadran told AFP.

“Five people, including two border police and three army soldiers, were killed in the car bomb attack and four others were wounded,” he said.

Eight rockets were also fired at the post soon after the bombing, but it was not immediately clear if they caused further casualties, Zadran said.
