LAHORE: Police arrested on Tuesday four ‘militants’, belonging to Tehrik-i-Taliban Afghanistan, near Minar-i-Pakistan.

A Crimes Investigation Agency police team took Muhammad Yasin alias Junaid alias Jamshaid of Manawan, Muhammad Kamran alias Zarar of Sahiwal, Abubakr alias Suleman of Okara and Khurshid Ali of Swat into custody.

The terrorists are being interrogated at an undisclosed location.

MODEL TOWN: Police recovered remains of a victim from the debris of Special Investigation Agency (SIA) building on Tuesday.

Witnesses said the City District Government Lahore officials found some limbs during the rescue work and alerted the police.

Model Town division SP Rana Ayyaz Saleem told Dawn that the limbs were of police constable Arif who was killed in the blast.

Meanwhile, police investigators identified the vehicle used in the blast as Toyota hiace but its chassis and engine numbers could not be traced.—Staff Reporter
